The Polkadot platform for Web3 is powered by a mission to enable a decentralised web that puts users in control and ensures that everyone’s data and identity are protected from any central authority. A newcomer to the blockchain space, Polkadot is working on a solution to take on Ethereum – or work in harmony alongside it.
The blockchain has launched a new level of scalability and interoperability. Projects built on the Polkadot network can actually deploy their own blockchains, known as “parachains” with smart contract functionality. This unique feature is a major contributor towards a more scalable, faster and cheaper solution.
A cross-chain platform that exists to connect multiple blockchain networks, Polkadot enables the transfer of not just tokens – but data and assets too. The network’s true interoperability means that data can be transferred across public, permissionless blockchains as well as private, permissioned ones, opening up possibilities for industries that weren’t there before.
With support from some of the blockchain industry’s foremost builders and experts, Polkadot is set to disrupt what is already a disruptive space. To be a part of the exciting Web3 movement, get in touch with the blockchain developers at Blockchain Australia.
Polkadot is built of a network of heterogeneous blockchains that use relay chains to connect to each other, as well as bridges to connect to external networks. Polkadot runs on a sophisticated governance system that gives each stakeholder a voice and ensures any developments reflect the values of the community. Due to its parallel transaction processing capabilities, the system is able to scale on demand.
These features mean Polkadot is making it easier than ever to create and connect applications, turning cross-chain registries and cross-chain computation into a reality.
We’ll work to find out more about your vision, sharing it with relevant professionals to assess feasibility and collect advice about making the process run as smoothly as possible.
Your whitepaper is an essential piece of the puzzle, functioning as the roadmap to your project as well as a key marketing tool. This is where we bring your project to life and make it stand out from the crowd.
Once you’ve approved design, we use Polkadot’s open-source platform to build your blockchain application. User experience is at the forefront of this process, along with the most advanced processes and technology.
After publication, marketing can begin. We’ll continue to amplify your project on relevant marketing channels to gain interest from potential investors and users, so you can reach your goals with our team.
Created to empower innovators to build better solutions without any interference from large institutions, Polkadot is built with powerful technology to enhance your project. For example:
Smart contracts are in place to protect digital assets. We build smart contracts with cross-chain compatibility on Polkadot.
We create different blockchain networks and cryptocurrency exchange platforms, for seamless communications between protocols.
Blockchain applications and Polkadot parachains with native Polkadot compatibility, fork-free upgrades and instant pooled security.
We empower DeFi services and enable interoperability between private and public blockchains.
We connect you with our growing network of the world’s emerging technology experts, with experience in blockchain and a range of other industries. Working together, we make sure you get access to industry-leading strategies, support and funding.
Working with everyone from disruptive startups through to global enterprises, we bring technology and knowledge to boost your organisation’s efficiency. When you work with Blockchain Australia, you’re in great company.
Polkadot is a Web3 platform that facilitates transfers between multiple blockchains, in a trust-free fashion. The chains in the network can become a parachain as long as they meet a set of criteria – even non-blockchains are permitted in some cases.
The Polkadot network is scalable and there’s no current specified limit to the number of chains that can be connected to the network. As the network is in its early stages of development, initial predictions estimate hundreds of parachains will be able to participate at once.
Polkadot is being built by Web3 Foundation, a Swiss foundation working to create a user-friendly, decentralised web. Its founders are Robert Habermeier, Dr. Gavin Wood and Peter Czaban.
The cryptocurrency used by Polkadot is known as dot tokens, which can be stored in hot or cold wallets.
